Plymouth Meeting, PA – June 23, 2010 – Strategic BCP, Inc., a business continuity planning (BCP) company, today announced it will host a co-sponsored webinar with Continuity Insights magazine featuring a demo of the company’s proprietary BCP software, ResilienceONE®. The webinar will be held on June 24 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. EST. To register, please click here: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/235038329.

The webinar, “An Insider’s Look into BCP Software,” will offer BCP planners an exclusive opportunity to take an in-depth tour of ResilienceONE®. Attendees will see the software’s intuitive business process-based methodologies, easy-to-use interface, cutting-edge analytics, business continuity task automation, built-in incident management and recovery tracking tools, and much more. Strategic BCP president and co-founder, Frank Perlmutter, CBCP, will host the session.

“It is important for BCP pros to understand that they are no longer limited to using traditional, bulky, expensive software models popular in the past, and that more powerful and intuitive software is available,” says Perlmutter. “Strategic BCP’s experts have heard – and lived through – the horror stories of entities that have spent enormous amounts of time and money taking long surveys just to generate paper plans that simply can’t be deployed fast enough when a disaster strikes. This is why we built ResilienceONE from the ground up – to help our colleagues become better planners. Our software has changed the minds of thousands of users and BCP planners, and we are excited to show people how such powerful software can be so easy to use. We also thank Continuity Insights for this opportunity to share our technology publicly.”

Strategic BCP was rated a “Positive” in Gartner’s “MarketScope for Business Continuity Management Planning Software” report (Roberta J. Witty, Tom Scholtz, May 13, 2010). According to the MarketScope, customers of companies receiving a “Positive” rating are advised to “continue planned investments,” and potential customers are advised to “consider this vendor a viable choice for strategic or tactical investments, while planning for known limitations.”

Strategic BCP also offers private demos of its ResilienceONE® BCP software for the media, business continuity planners and consultants, and executives from organizations of all sizes, from small to mid-sized companies to global enterprises. Please email contact@strategicbcp.com for more information.

Strategic BCP today announced it was rated a “Positive” in Gartner’s “MarketScope for Business Continuity Management Planning Software” report (Roberta J. Witty, Tom Scholtz, May 13, 2010).

According to the MarketScope, “having current and effective recovery plans is the key to success during a disaster, and these tools are ‘ground zero’ for effective crisis and business recovery. We anticipate adoption to grow in the next five years, given the increased focus from government agencies — federal, state and local — as well as private-sector preparedness initiatives.”

“We strongly agree with Gartner’s prediction of growth in the BCM market, and are excited to be recognized in the MarketScope by such a prestigious research firm,” says Frank Perlmutter, president and co-founder of Strategic BCP. “We’ve seen more and more BCM planners deploy powerful software tools like ResilienceONE and move away from document-based BCM plans and traditional bulky, tedious software programs. Utilizing automated, business process-based methods for determining risk and downtime is imperative to business recovery and loss mitigation.”

According to the report, “Gartner recommends using a BCMP tool as early in the BCM program’s life as possible, because of the benefits of standardization, centralization of business operations data that exists nowhere else in the organization, and the ease of updating recovery plans to ensure that the most-current business and IT practices are addressed.”

“BCM planners – now more than ever – need to prove their worth to the executives and colleagues using their plans,” says Perlmutter. “Any BCM planner that is simply organizing documents, distributing long surveys, and spending hours configuring confusing software is putting their job at risk. As the MarketScope depicts, automated, intuitive software is vital for BCM planners trying to recover their IT, people, and assets when a disaster strikes – and increase their value at their organizations. We believe ResilienceONE meets that criteria.”

According to the MarketScope, customers of companies receiving a “Positive” rating are advised to “continue planned investments,” and potential customers are advised to “consider this vendor a viable choice for strategic or tactical investments, while planning for known limitations.”

Strategic BCP offers demos of its ResilienceONE® BCP software for the media, business continuity planners and consultants, and executives from organizations of all sizes, from small to mid-sized companies to global enterprises.

Companies Integrate Proprietary Technologies to Help Organizations Recover Quicker from Downtime, Form Industry’s Only Business Continuity Planning, Incident Management, and Emergency Notification Combined Solution.

Strategic BCP and Twenty First Century Communications (TFCC), provider of emergency notification solutions, today announced a strategic alliance to help businesses and organizations worldwide recover quicker after any crisis-related downtime.

Downtime can cost organizations millions of dollars per hour, imperil human life, and result in crippling loss of customers. Strategic BCP’s proprietary Business Continuity Planning (BCP) software, ResilienceONE®, facilitates fast decision-making to reduce downtime by making real-time response and recovery information available.

TFCC’s CRISCOM notification solution will integrate within ResilienceONE® to provide an enhanced inbound and outbound flow of critical information to ResilienceONE® to users. This unprecedented combination of technology will accelerate the real-time status distribution of facilities, information technology, employees, and business operations, and help personnel make more informed, time-sensitive decisions that will ensure safety and mitigate business loss.

“Crises creating downtime, from power outages to natural disasters, threaten lives, and cost organizations millions of dollars. Quick and resolute decision-making is of the essence. Most BCP tools actually cripple the recovery process, relying on long paper-based plans to help them act,” says Frank Perlmutter, founder and CEO of Strategic BCP. “Combining the risk analytics, streamlined planning methodology, and real-time incident management of ResilienceONE® with CRISCOM creates an enhanced method of protecting lives and resources, communicating with employees and customers, and restoring business operations faster than any solution available.”

“For 20 years TFCC has been a leader in emergency notification, and our partnership with Strategic BCP will allow us to help even more enterprises recover from crises,” says Bently Collier, vice president of sales and marketing for TFCC. “Our state-of-the-art notification system brings stability to chaotic organizations responding to disasters by sending notifications detailing recovery progress via landlines, cell phones, PDAs, email, pagers, fax, and TTY/TDD services. We are excited to combine our technologies and offer an unmatched solution in business continuity.”

ResilienceONE® and CRISCOM are available with unlimited user licenses to facilitate scalability. Pricing for the combined solution is customized for various-sized organizations, from small non-profit organizations to international conglomerates.

Strategic BCP was named a 2009 “Cool Vendor” by Gartner, Inc. in its “Cool Vendors in Risk Management and Compliance, 2009″ (Roberta J. Witty, et al, March 19, 2009) report.

Strategic BCP was named a “Cool Vendor” in Risk Management.

Plymouth Meeting, PA – April 9, 2009 – Strategic BCP, Inc., a business continuity planning company and creator of ResilienceONE™ software, today announced it has been named a 2009 “Cool Vendor” by Gartner, Inc. in its “Cool Vendors in Risk Management and Compliance, 2009” (Roberta J. Witty, et al, March 19, 2009) report.

“It is an honor to be recognized by such a prestigious firm as Gartner,” says Frank Perlmutter, President and Founder of Strategic BCP. “Our company has developed a truly unique BCM tool and in my opinion this recognition speaks to the powerful and innovative ways ResilienceONE can help business continuity professionals transform from being generators of static plans to risk managers delivering dynamic, action-based plans.”

Business continuity management (BCM) is the creation of a logistical plan for systematic recovery and restoration of critical business functions during and following a business interruption. Gartner states in the “Cool Vendor” report that “all too frequently plans begin by defining recovery requirements without understanding the business process. All the risk management and compliance Cool Vendors’ solutions focus tightly on innovative means to resolve the critical weaknesses left by current market solutions.”

Perlmutter calls attention to several key differentiators denoted between ResilienceONE and other BCM software products:

“ResilienceONE was developed from the ground up as a pure play software as a service (SaaS) all-in-one planning tool, rather than a module-based offering. Most of the other tools on the market today, originally designed as client/server applications, have been “Webified” and transitioned to SaaS offerings, causing significant operational issues and not realizing the full cost benefits of SaaS.”

“ResilienceONE starts with a business process focus that drives the process, whereas other tools start with long, cumbersome surveys. Many clients are using ResilienceONE as more than a BCM tool for high-value activities in addition to their BCM ones. These clients see the value of the tool for business activities such as mergers and acquisitions, cost optimization, business process re-engineering, continuous business and IT process improvement (streamlining and redundancy elimination), and IAM role management, as well as for recovery and new-hire business training.”

“Our mission has always been to go beyond the BCM process – and traditional BCM software – to deliver superior risk metrics and ease-of use by anyone in an organization,” noted Perlmutter.

About Strategic BCP

Strategic BCP, Inc. is a business continuity planning company empowering organizations to build cost-effective, action-based plans. The company’s proprietary all-in-one planning and incident management software tool, ResilienceONE™, goes beyond traditional plan generation software with its intuitive business process-based methodology. ResilienceONE is a web-native BCP SaaS application featuring proprietary risk algorithms and metrics that automate cumbersome tasks and provide comprehensive insight into an organization’s risk profile. For more information, visit www.strategicbcp.com.

About Gartner’s Cool Vendors Selection Process

Gartner’s listing does not constitute an exhaustive list of vendors in any given technology area, but rather is designed to highlight interesting, new and innovative vendors, products and services. Gartner disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, with respect to this research, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness of a particular purpose.

Gartner defines a cool vendor as a company that offers technologies or solutions that are: Innovative, enable users to do things they couldn’t do before; Impactful, have, or will have, business impact (not just technology for the sake of technology); Intriguing, have caught Gartner’s interest or curiosity in approximately the past six months.
